Skytrails Aviation can offer US Customs & Immigration Services at its ramp and terminal at the Van Nuys Airport. Aircraft originating from the North such as Canada, Europe and certain far east countries may use Skytrails as an entering point and avoid the delays of other airports such as LAX. Aircraft arriving from destinations such as Mexico and Central & South America may obtain an over-flight permit. Such a permit is obtained by contacting U.S. Customs at (310) 215-2090, M-F 8:00-1700 PST. Please be aware that over-flight permits take a minimum of 15 days advance notice to process.
When requiring a clearing of U.S. Customs and Immigration, you may call Skytrails or have a handler such as Air Routing or Universal Air arrange customs services. If you choose to call Skytrails, please make sure you have the following information:
- Aircraft Registry
- Number of Crew
- Number of Passengers
- Origin of Flight
- Names of Crew & Passengers
- Passport Numbers of Crew & Passengers
- Passengers must have Proof of Citizenship such as a passport and government issued identification for crew and passengers.
